O may we never be brought under the dominion of sin, or of temptation or disgrace. And may evil passions never gain control over us. Spare us, O Lord, from evil men and companions. Keep us under the sway of noble impulses and guide us ever to perform noble deeds; and bend our nature so that we may submit wholly to Thy service. Favor us this day and every day of our lives with graciousness and with mercy, and with lovingkindness, in Thine eyes and in the eyes of all our fellowmen.
