Well, since I made some resolutions last year, I figured I may as well see how the year went.
- Read through the Bible in a year (I made it about 90% last year, hoping for 100% in 2009).
- Start working out again and shed the pounds put on during the holidays
- Read more books for fun
- Complete 5 more seminars towards my PhD
- Be a better husband
- Cherish time spent with family and friends and be less mentally preoccupied
1. I'm currently on track for number one, and hoping to finish out that goal!
2. Number two... hmm, not so much. I did lose the weight I gained over the holidays last year, but the working out thing didn't really stick. Maybe next year!
3. I did certainly read more books this year, but I don't think any of them were for fun!
4. I ended up completing 6 seminars last year, so that one was met and exceeded!
5. I guess I should ask my wife to answer this one... :) Since my wife has gotten pregnant, I do feel like I've been more sensitive to her needs and more willing to offer help, but she will have to be the judge of that!
6. I would say that overall I had a great year with time spent with family and friends, but I certainly could have done more of this. I do feel like I've been more mentally present and less preoccupied, with exception to the last month or so.
Well, overall not too bad for last year... I guess it's time to start thinking about next years resolutions!
